Application
Use this application to apply for the CEI Graduate Fellowship. Applications for the upcoming academic year are due by 11:59 pm on May 1. The application process occurs during spring quarter, allowing us to make decisions and inform both students and departments by early June.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that referees have sufficient time to submit their reference by the May 1 deadline. Applicants should reach out to their references directly with their request for a letter, and share the submission form. Referees will NOT be automatically notified upon submission of the application form. Both letters of recommendation must be received for the application to be considered complete. CEI will send your references a follow up email within a few days of your application submission.
UW referees must submit letters using the Letter of Recommendation Submission Form. Referees without UW email addresses should email ceiapps@uw.edu directly with the subject line “CEI Graduate Fellowship Recommendation — Applicant Name“, including their name, the name and email address of the applicant in the body text, and their reference letter attached as a Word document or PDF, saved as “Applicant Last Name_Referee Last Name“.
