Support for clean energy events

The UW Clean Energy Institute is proud to offer support for community-led events focused on clean energy.

If you’re planning an event on behalf of a Washington community, contact CEI at uwcei@uw.edu to discuss how we can support you.

Sponsored Events

In June 2023, the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI) held the first Northwest Tribal Clean Energy Summit to convene Tribes to learn, share information, and advance Tribal clean energy initiatives in the Pacific Northwest. The event was sponsored by CEI and included presentations by UW electrical & computer engineering seniors working on Community Capstone projects with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe Environmental Planning Program, and Jefferson County Department of Emergency Management.

The North Olympic Peninsula Resource Conservation & Development Council (NODC) partnered with PNNL and regional stakeholders, including CEI along with local governments, tribal communities, public utilities, and economic development agencies, to host an Energy Futures Conference in November 2022 and in 2023. CEI Member Faculty June Lukuyu, Dylan Stevenson, and Daniel Kirschen attended the 2023 conference, along with Community Capstone students who presented their work on the North Olympic Peninsula.
