Energy Scholars Mentorship Program

CEI partners with UW EarthLab to support the Energy Scholars Mentorship Program, a paid summer internship and mentorship program led by LevelTen Energy that is designed to equip dedicated and capable college scholars with the skills required to secure (and excel in) well-paid jobs in the renewable energy industry.

Energy Scholars spend 10 weeks immersed in the world of renewable energy — working alongside the LevelTen team, building technical skills, and exploring career paths in sustainability.

Throughout the summer, Energy Scholars attend educational sessions led by LevelTen and partners, receive one-on-one mentorship, and connect with professionals across the clean energy industry. Each Energy Scholar takes on meaningful, real-world projects as part of a paid internship designed to build both confidence and experience.

Energy Scholars get hands-on experience with real work in technical disciplines like engineering, data science, and clean tech innovation, plus critical roles in HR, legal, marketing, IT, and operations that support the clean energy sector.

This structure ensures that students discover the full range of opportunities available in clean energy, helping them envision how their unique skills and passions align with this vital industry.
