My research develops learning, control, and optimization methods to help energy systems operate more efficiently and reliably as they incorporate increasing amounts of renewable energy. In particular, I study how power grids, energy storage systems, and other clean energy resources can make better decisions when future electricity demand and renewable generation are uncertain. By improving the coordination and operation of these resources, my work helps accelerate the adoption of clean energy technologies while ensuring that the transition remains affordable, equitable, and reliable.
