Christine Luscombe is the Campbell Career Development Endowed Professor of Materials Science & Engineering and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Washington. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2005. She has received a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation, a DARPA Young Faculty Award, a UW CoE Junior Faculty Innovator Award, as well as the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Research Fellowship. Her research ranges from small molecule to polymer synthesis and is directed towards the design, synthesis, and applications of functional macromolecules. Current topics of research include semiconductor polymer synthesis for photovoltaic applications.
