Hugh Hillhouse

Hugh Hillhouse is currently Rehnberg Chair Professor of Chemical Engineering at the UW. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in 2000. He has received the NSF CAREER Award, Early Career Research Excellence Award from Purdue University, Shreve Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, Sharma Medal from the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, a Research Corporation Scialog Fellowship, and Outstanding Young Alumni Award from Clemson University. Prof. Hillhouse’s research lies at the nexus of nanomaterials and solar energy conversion. Currently, he and his group are focused on developing novel device architectures and solution-processed solar cells from Earth-abundant resources.
